The Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia has charged two individuals with the fraudulent appropriation of a large amount of property committed by a group.

The investigation conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs revealed that the defendants agreed with residents of various villages in Marneuli Municipality to collect cattle, which they would sell abroad, and pay for the cattle from the proceeds of the sale. The defendants transported the cattle abroad, but did not fulfill their promise and fraudulently acquired cattle worth 1,898,170 GEL.

Law enforcement officers arrested the defendants based on a judge’s ruling. They were charged under Article 180, Part 2, Subparagraphs “a” and “b” of Part 3, Subparagraphs “a” and “b” of Part 2, Subparagraphs “a” and “b” of Part 3, Subparagraphs “b” and “b” of Part 2

Based on the prosecutor’s motion, the court sentenced the defendants to imprisonment as a preventive measure.
