The working visit of Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia to Italy has begun. Shalva Papuashvili will participate in the Conference of Speakers of Parliaments of the Council of Europe Member States in Rome.

Within the framework of the forum, his speeches are scheduled during two sessions, alongside high-level bilateral meetings. The Speaker of the legislative body is visiting Italy together with a delegation.

According to Levan Makhashvili, Chairman of the European Integration Committee of the Parliament, there will be intensive and interesting discussions in both bilateral and multilateral formats.

Most importantly, the goal of the delegation of the Parliament of Georgia will be to address discussions important to Georgia - on the one hand, introducing and providing information on what is happening in the country and what plans our state has.

On the other hand, our goal will be to make an interesting contribution to the international discussions focused on the problems existing around the international order in recent years, as well as the role of parliaments in this regard”, - said Levan Makhashvili.
