The European Parliament has adopted another resolution on Georgia. The vote in Strasbourg concluded just a few minutes ago. The authors of the resolution are the European People’s Party [EPP], of which the United National Movement is a member, as well as representatives of the European Free Alliance.
Debates were held in the European Parliament before the vote. An empty hall, threats, and again the demand for the release of Saakashvili and those prisoners, most of whom have already confessed to their crimes and repented. According to the ruling team, this latest document by the Eurobureaucrats is an encouragement of extremism.
They also stated that this 9th consecutive resolution is yet another example of an attack and blackmail against Georgia.
