“Georgian Amelioration” Ltd, under the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, is carrying out infrastructure rehabilitation works on the Mashvela Irrigation System in Samtredia Municipality. In the village of Ianeti, a 1,000-meter section of the water distribution canal is being cleared of sediment and vegetation.

As a result of the completed works, amelioration services will be improved across approximately 50 hectares of agricultural land in the village of Ianeti.

Mamuka Losaberidze, Head of the Western Regional Service of “Georgian Amelioration” Ltd, inspected the ongoing works together with Davit Bakhtadze, Mayor of Samtredia Municipality.

“Georgian Amelioration” continues the rehabilitation and improvement of irrigation and drainage infrastructure across the country. The aim of these works is to improve the amelioration services to agricultural land and enhance access to irrigation water.
