The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Lasha Avaliani, met with representatives of the Rachian Ham Producers’ Association.
The meeting focused on opportunities to further develop traditional Rachian ham production in accordance with applicable standards, while exploring prospects for the sector`s sustainable growth.
"As we are aware, the development of products with geographical indications contributes to strengthening local production and showcasing the unique products associated with different regions of Georgia. In this process, it is essential to ensure compliance with relevant quality requirements while preserving and further developing traditional production practices and expertise. These products play an important role in the development of the country`s gastronomic sector and in promoting Georgia`s culinary heritage", - said Lasha Avaliani stated.
Senior officials from the Ministry`s relevant departments, along with representatives of the National Food Agency and the National Agency of Gastronomy, attended the meeting.
