99% of the 182 210 tonnes of grapes processed in Kakheti are of high and medium quality

As of October 6, of the 182 210 tonnes of grapes processed, 180 560 tonnes (99%) are of high and medium quality, while only 1% are unripe and of poor quality.

In Kakheti, 13 200 winegrowers have delivered their grape harvest.

Of the grapes processed, nearly 92,100 tonnes are Saperavi, nearly 77,400 tonnes are Rkatsiteli, and the remainder consists of various other grape varieties.

The projected harvest is up to 320 000 tonnes.

To ensure an organized harvest and the sale of the entire crop, the Government of Georgia has decided that, in the event of a surplus harvest, every winegrower will be able to deliver their harvest. For this purpose, Harvest Management Company LLC is accepting grapes grown in Kakheti from individuals under the established conditions:

---The price per 1 kg of Saperavi with a sugar content of at least 20% is 1,50 GEL; from 16% to 20% - 1,00 GEL; and below 16% - 0.50 GEL.
---For Rkatsiteli and other wine grape varieties, the price for a sugar content of at least 19% is 1,30 GEL; from 16% to 19% - 0.90 GEL; and below 16% 0.50 GEL.
