Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia met Chris Suphachai Chearavanont, Chairman of Charoen Pokphand Group, one of Thailand's largest conglomerates.
The meeting focused on prospects for cooperation, including the implementation of projects of strategic importance in Georgia.
Particular attention was paid to the Anaklia Deep Sea Port and Vaziani International Airport construction projects and their importance in further strengthening connectivity. The parties also discussed the potential for cooperation in the energy sector and Georgia's resources for renewable energy generation.
The Prime Minister noted that the Government of Georgia welcomes foreign investment and offers investors a stable, predictable and attractive business environment.
Charoen Pokphand Group, one of Thailand's largest conglomerates, operates across a wide range of sectors, including food and agribusiness, retail and e-commerce, telecommunications, real estate, infrastructure, finance and the automotive industry. The conglomerate operates in 23 countries, employs over 456 000 people and has an annual turnover exceeding 100 billion USD.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili and Head of Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
