The Commercial Director of “Georgian Amelioration” LTD, Mameli Kobalia, met the local farmers in the Sighnaghi Municipality. At the meeting, the parties reviewed the results of the past irrigation season and discussed issues of improving irrigation services in the agricultural production process.

Mameli Kobalia emphasized the importance of feedback from farmers, which enables the company to plan future infrastructural and operational measures, taking into account the needs of water users.

“The information received, and the needs identified, during the meetings with farmers, are important for the company to plan future measures more effectively and offer water users more improved services for the upcoming irrigation season. At the meetings, we also discussed the advantages of modern irrigation technologies, including drip irrigation, which, alongside the rational use of water resources, contribute to achieving high quality crop yield”, - said Mameli Kobalia.

The importance of introducing modern and energy-efficient irrigation technologies was also discussed at the meeting. Particular attention was paid to the advantages of drip irrigation, which promotes the rational use of water resources and receiving of high-quality crops.
