Within the framework of her visit to Canada, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, met with Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Anita Anand.

During the meeting, the sides discussed key areas of bilateral relations between Georgia and Canada, as well as cooperation in multilateral formats.

The importance of political dialogue between the two countries and future plans for cooperation were highlighted.

Particular emphasis was placed on Black Sea security issues and the situation in the region. The discussion also covered prospects for strengthening trade and economic relations, taking into account Georgia`s role in the Middle Corridor and Canada’s trade diversification policy. The Minister thanked the Canadian side for its unwavering support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
