Mayor of Tbilisi said that Georgia`s reunification with Abkhazians and Ossetians should be achieved solely through peace, economic development and strengthening the country.

With this statement he responded to the recent remarks by Nika Gvaramia ["Ahali" party], who said "Georgia`s EU integration could help resolve the conflict and that the EU would become actively involved in the process".

"Gvaramia made a similar statement several weeks ago regarding the loss of our territories. He drew parallels with issues related to Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia. Our position is clear: through our policies and actions, we will do everything to ensure that we can live together with Abkhaz and Ossetians and restore our territorial integrity. This must happen solely through peace, economic development and strengthening", - said Kakha Kaladze.
