A temporary risk management protocol based on epidemiological recommendations has been enacted across Tbilisi public kindergartens following confirmed cases of norovirus.

According to the Tbilisi Kindergartens Management Agency, the capital’s nursery and kindergarten network has shifted to emergency operating protocols.

"Disinfection work has been conducted across all kindergartens. In parallel, hygiene controls and monitoring have been intensified across all facilities. High-touch surfaces and rooms are disinfected every 2 hours, with a full deep cleaning carried out at the end of each shift. Besides, temporary changes have been introduced to catering menus and the daily use of educational toys and materials. We remind the public that these are temporary measures, and kids will return to their routine as soon as they conclude", - says the agency.
