Officers of Adjara Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested a foreign citizen on charges of facilitating the illegal purchase, storage and sale of large quantities of drugs.

As a result of investigative actions in Batumi, including personal search and search activities held in his residential apartment, law enforcement officers seized a large quantity of the drug "Methadone" prepared for sale as evidence. As a result of the investigative actions, materials necessary for packaging drugs were also seized.

The investigation is underway under Articles 260 and 260-4 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, envisioning up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
