The Military Cadet Liceum begins the new academic year with an important innovation. A new military cadet school named after General Giorgi Mazniashvili has opened in Eastern Georgia.

The Vice Prime Minister/Minister of Defense of Georgia, Irakli Chikovani, and the Commander of the Defense Forces, Lieutenant General Giorgi Matiashvili, congratulated the cadets on the start of their studies.

Irakli Chikovani emphasized the significant role of the military school and wished the cadets a successful academic year.

"For the Ministry of Defense and for our state, your choice is highly valuable. I assure you that your decision to receive a quality education and to share the experience of the Cadet Liceum is a prerequisite for your successful future. A vast amount of resources has been invested in this school. Therefore, I ask you to utilize every day, every minute, and every opportunity", - said the Minister.

He inspected the infrastructure of the educational institution and familiarized himself with the school's activities and ongoing innovations.

Similar to the General Giorgi Kvinitadze Military Cadet School operating in Kutaisi, this institution is of a boarding type. A complex consisting of educational and barracks-type structures, auditoriums equipped with smartboards, laboratories, a library, recreational spaces, as well as open and indoor sports fields is provided for the cadets. The institution is staffed with qualified academic personnel.

The General Giorgi Mazniashvili Military Cadet School is situated on 19 hectares and is designed for 330 cadets. The cadets are provided with living conditions, three meals a day, insurance, educational materials, military and sports uniforms, as well as educational and household inventory. The Ministry of Defense fully finances the students' education at the Military Cadet Liceum.

Adolescents interested in military affairs will study military history, tactical, engineering, physical, and drill training at the military school, as well as topography, navigation, and rules for providing first aid to an injured person. In 2026, the Military Cadet Liceum admitted students to both schools. A total of 321 students were enrolled across both institutions.
