In the II quarter of 2026, the average monthly nominal earnings in Georgia increased by 8% - GeoStat

In the II quarter of 2026, the average monthly nominal earnings in Georgia increased by 8% (177.3 GEL) compared to the same quarter of the previous year and amounted to 2 389.3 GEL, reads the report of GeoStat.

According to the economic activity, the highest monthly earnings were observed in the following sectors:

• Information and communication – 4 400.4 GEL (increased by 5.4% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year);
• Financial and insurance activities – 4 074.1 GEL (increased by 9.2%);
• Construction – 3 496.6 GEL (increased by 0.8%);
• Professional, scientific and technical activities – 3 304.8 GEL (increased by 10.3%).

In the second quarter of 2026, the average earnings for women equaled 1 927.0 GEL, while for men, they were 2 856.4 GEL. The annual earnings growth amounted to 157.5 GEL (8.9%) for women and 200.5 GEL (7.6%) for men. In all sectors, men’s average monthly earnings exceeded those of women.

In the II quarter of 2026, the average monthly earnings of employees in the business sector increased by 153.8 GEL (6.6%) and equaled 2 471.5 GEL. According to the economic activity, the highest monthly earnings were observed in Information and communication (4 463.9 GEL, increased by 5.2% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year) and Professional, scientific and technical activities (3 693.0 GEL, increased by 7.3%).

In the second quarter of 2026, compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the average monthly earnings of employees in the non-business and financial sector increased by 215.0 GEL (10.6%) and amounted to 2 239.0 GEL. According to the economic activity, the highest monthly earnings were observed in the Financial and insurance activities. Tbilisi and the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region lead in terms of average monthly earnings.
