Officers of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested 7 people on charges of illegal purchase, storage, sale and facilitation of sale of narcotics in particularly large amounts, as well as illegal cultivation of a plant containing narcotics.
As a result of operational measures and investigative actions carried out in the criminal case, it was established that the defendants placed the narcotics in specific places selected in advance and then sent the relevant coordinates and marked photos to interested persons.
Based on the judge’s ruling, law enforcement officers carried out an undercover purchase of narcotics from one of the detainees and secretly recorded the aforementioned purchases.
As a result of the personal search and search activities held in temporary residential apartments of the accused persons, the police also seized a particularly large amount of various types of narcotics prepared for sale from the places indicated by them, including: “Methadone”, “Alpha-PVP”, “Buprenorphine”, “Marijuana” and the plant “Cannabis”.
As a result of the investigative actions, materials necessary for packaging narcotics were also seized.
The investigation is underway under Articles 260, 260-4 and 265-1 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, envisioning up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
