The Georgian side has concluded official meetings in Japan

First Deputy Chair of the Economic Policy Committee, Irakli Mezurnishvili, met in Tokyo with Ichiro Aisawa, a Member of the House of Representatives of Japan and Chair of the Japan–Georgia Parliamentary Friendship Group.

The sides discussed the relations between Georgia and Japan and ways to further deepen the partnership between the two countries.

“Japan is a very great friend of our country and actively supports Georgia on every platform. There is significant potential for deepening economic relations between our countries. Japan is very active in terms of investment, and it is important that we present the potential of our country. There is strong interest from Japanese companies, and we are actively working in this direction to facilitate their entry into the Georgian market. We will do everything possible to further deepen Georgian–Japanese relations”, - Irakli Mezurnishvili stated.

The sides agreed to further develop economic relations between the two countries and increase both Japanese investment in Georgia and bilateral trade turnover.
