Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Nikoloz Samkharadze, met with Didier Trebucq, UN Resident Coordinator in Georgia.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the priority areas of the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) for 2026–2030, mechanisms for its implementation, as well as the progress and challenges of UN projects in the country.

Regional security issues were among the topics discussed. Particular attention was paid to the situation in the region and energy security issues, including Georgia’s role in enhancing connectivity between the West and the East.

Nikoloz Samkharadze also discussed with the UN Resident Coordinator the situation in Georgia`s occupied regions.
