The Mtatsminda District Administration is commencing the rehabilitation of Aleksandre Chavchavadze Street. Such a statement made today the Mayor of Tbilisi.

“The rehabilitation works will cover a total area of 30,405 sq. m. Within the framework of the project, the road and pedestrian infrastructure along the 321-metre-long street will be fully renovated.

The existing cobblestone pavement will be replaced with a three-layer asphalt surface. Kerbs and pavements will also be arranged, and bollards and railings will be installed. The existing infrastructure will be adapted to the maximum extent possible for persons with disabilities.

Within the framework of the project, the outdated underground utility network will be completely replaced. Gas pipes will be renewed, while power transmission and internet cables will be placed underground.

Lighting poles with LED luminaires will be installed. Georgian Water and Power will be involved in the works to improve the utility infrastructure, while greenery will be planted along the street”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
