In the case of the death of Abkhaz blogger Daur Buava, Saba Bochorishvili and Givi Gudadze, who were detained on drug crime charges, have been remanded in custody as a preventive measure.
As revealed during the trial, both defendants are under probation, and according to the prosecutor, there is a risk of them continuing criminal activities, absconding, and destroying evidence. According to the investigation, Daur Buava and defendant Valeria Kirilyuk consumed “Methadone”, a narcotic substance provided specifically by Givi Gudadze. During a search of his house, law enforcement officers seized an especially large quantity - 6.27 grams of “Methadone”, which the defendant had packaged into 9 bags for the purpose of facilitating its sale.
As for Saba Bochorishvili, he unlawfully acquired and stored dried marijuana in his residential house.
