Regions are a special priority, ready to use my experience to face this challenge – Mdinaradze

Strengthening the country`s regions would be one of the Government`s top priorities. Such a statement made today the Vice Prime Minister/newly appointed State Minister for Regional Policy Issues.

"It is a great honour and, on the other hand, a great challenge. I want to thank the team with which I have worked over the past months. Just as I am leaving that position with my head held high, I will be just as proud and dedicated in my work in the new position. Mr. Prime Minister, the challenge is accepted.

For us, the regions are a special priority. It is a challenge because strengthening this direction is, on the one hand, a responsibility, and in dealing with this challenge I will put my experience at the service of my team and my country.

Just as I have been doing this until now, I am confident it will work out the same way; with the trust of our team and the team leaders we will be able to accomplish all of this. I thank the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor`s Office, the State Security Service and all representatives of the law-enforcement agencies. Heroes work there; they devote day and night to making their contribution to the development and construction of the country. My deepest gratitude to all of them.

To my new colleagues and new comrades-in-arms I promise that we will fight tirelessly together", - said Mamuka Mdinaradze.
