Prime Minister of Georgia announced that his government would establish the position of State Minister for Regional Policy Issues, with the Vice Prime Minister Mamuka Mdinaradze appointed to the role while retaining his current duties.
"The position of State Minister for Regional Policy Issues will be created in the structure of the Government of Georgia.
This position will be taken by Mr. Mamuka Mdinaradze, who will continue to perform the duties of Vice Prime Minister of Georgia. Several months ago,
Mamuka Mdinaradze took up the position of State Minister for Law-Enforcement Agencies Issues, where he made a most important contribution to establishing a system of coordinated work of the law-enforcement agencies.
The work carried out during this period gives us the opportunity to ensure the effective coordination and functioning of law-enforcement structures in the future without a special position of State Minister", - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
