The Georgian citizen who was illegally detained by the Russian occupation forces near the village of Perevi in the Sachkhere municipality has been released. The relevant statement was released by the State Security Service of Georgia [SSSG].

"Currently, he is on the territory controlled by the central government.

The central government utilized all relevant instruments at its disposal to secure the release of the illegally detained Georgian citizen, including the "hotline" operated by the European Union Monitoring Mission in Georgia.

The SSSG continues to work uninterruptedly to secure the release of every Georgian citizen remaining in illegal detention within the occupied territories", - says the agency.
