Officers of Didube-Chughureti and Gldani-Nadzaladevi Police Main Divisions of Tbilisi Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested five people at different times on charges of facilitating the illegal purchase, storage and sale of large quantities of narcotic drugs.

During the personal search and and search activities held in residential apartments of the defendants in Tbilisi, law enforcement officers also seized large quantities of narcotic drugs prepared for sale, including "Alpha-PVP" and "Methadone", as evidence from various locations.

The police have also seized materials necessary for packaging drugs.

The investigation is underway under Articles 260 and 260-4 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, envisaging up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
