Officers of Gori police Division of Shida Kartli Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested 4 people on charges of theft committed in group.

The investigation established that the defendants had cut off and secretly took possession of up to 300 meters of copper wire from the railway line passing through the territory of one of the villages of Gori Municipality.

Law enforcement officers arrested the defendants while they were loading the stolen wires into a vehicle. Law enforcement officers seized copper wires belonging to Georgian Railways as evidence. The investigation is underway under Article 177, Part III of the Criminal Code of Georgia envisioning the imprisonment for a term of up to 7 years.
