President of Georgia held a farewell meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Georgia, highlighting the positive development of bilateral relations and the achievements made during the ambassador`s tenure.
The meeting focused on practical outcomes achieved as a result of deepening political ties, including the introduction of a visa-free travel between the two countries, restoration and expansion of direct air connectivity, enhanced cooperation within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, development of free trade opportunities, etc.
The parties discussed the future agenda of Georgia-China cooperation, including strengthening ties between scientific and research institutions and expanding future cooperation in the technology sector. They also stressed the importance of continuing high-level political dialogue and further developing results-oriented partnership.
Mikheil Kavelashvili thanked Zhou Qian for his diplomatic work in Georgia and wished him success in his future professional endeavors.
