As part of Georgian Prime Minister`s visit to Singapore, Georgian Economy Minister met with Singapore`s Minister of State for Trade and Industry.

Mariam Kvrivishvili and Alvin Tan discussed prospects for deepening bilateral trade and economic relations and outlined plans to expand cooperation in several areas, including transport, logistics, and tourism. They emphasized the positive dynamics of bilateral trade, noting that in January-June 2026, trade turnover between Georgia and Singapore increased by 25% compared to the same period of 2025, while Georgia`s domestic exports to Singapore grew ninefold.

The meeting also highlighted the significant export potential of Georgian wine, alcoholic beverages, mineral water, and pharmaceutical products in the Singaporean market.

The officials discussed the participation of Georgian companies in international exhibitions hosted annually in Singapore, noting that these events provide valuable opportunities for Georgian exporters to establish new business contacts and promote Georgian products.

The meeting also focused on strengthening tourism ties between Georgia and Singapore.
