Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia met Tharman Shanmugaratnam, President of Singapore.

The meeting focused on the potential for further deepening trade, economic and investment relations, as well as strengthening political and cultural ties between the two countries.

The discussion also covered Georgia’s favourable business environment and the country’s investment opportunities. Irakli Kobakhidze reaffirmed the readiness of the Government of Georgia to deepen cooperation with Singapore's leading financial centres and investment funds.

The dignitaries also discussed the potential for cooperation in the fields of tourism and innovation and underscored the importance of fully harnessing the opportunities in these areas.

Both sides expressed confidence that the high-level visit would elevate bilateral relations to a new stage.

The Head of Government ia thanked the President of Singapore for his firm support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
