Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia met Lawrence Wong, Prime Minister of Singapore today.
The meeting focused on the long-standing and productive relations between the two countries, which are based on mutual respect and cooperation in areas of shared interest.
The two leaders discussed the importance of further intensifying the political dialogue between Georgia and Singapore, as well as strengthening cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats.
They also explored the potential for deepening trade, economic and investment ties. In this context, particular attention was paid to the economic and structural reforms implemented in Georgia, strong economic growth of the country and its favourable business environment.
The parties underscored Georgia’s important role in enhancing connectivity between Europe and Asia. They also discussed prospects for cooperation in the transport and tourism sectors.
Irakli Kobakhidze invited Lawrence Wong to pay an official visit to Georgia.
During his visit to the Istana, the Head of Government of Georgia made a commemorative entry in the residence’s Distinguished Visitors’ Book.
