Officers of Gldani-Nadzaladevi Police Main Division of Tbilisi Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested two foreign citizens on charges of facilitating the illegal purchase, storage and sale of narcotics in a large amount as a group.

As a result of a search of the personal belongings and search activities held in temporary residential apartment of the defendants in Tbilisi, law enforcement officers seized a large amount of narcotics as evidence, including 331 packages of the narcotic drug “marijuana” packaged for sale.

Law enforcement officers also seized materials necessary for packaging narcotics.

The investigation is underway under Articles 260 and 260-4 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, envisioning up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
