Our goal is to ensure high-quality water supply for every citizen and business in Georgia. Head of Government Administration said this at the Economic Forum on Water Resources and Tariff Policy, Urban Development, Economic Growth and Sustainable Development Goals.
Levan Zhorzholiani underscored the importance of reducing water losses and highlighted the steps the Government of Georgia has taken in this direction. He also emphasized the need for close coordination among the relevant institutions to ensure the effective management of the country`s water resources.
"Significant investments are being made in the water supply sector by both the state and the private operator in Tbilisi, Mtskheta and Rustavi. At the same time, the Government continues to invest actively in the regions, covering both operational and capital expenditures. Our ultimate objective is to provide adequate services and reliable, high-quality water supply to every citizen and business across Georgia", - noted Levan Zhorzholiani.
The forum, moderated by Giorgi Abashishvili, Founder of Business Insider Georgia and Georgia Economic Forum, also brought together Deputy Mayor of Tbilisi Giorgi Tkemaladze, Chairman of the Tbilisi City Assembly Zurab Abashidze, Mayor of Rustavi Nino Latsabidze, Chairman of the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulation Commission (GNERC) David Narmania, Director of the United Water Supply Company of Georgia Besik Jiqurauli and Regional Director of Aqualia José Enrique Bofill Maestre.
The event was attended by representatives of the executive and legislative authorities of the country, as well as the business community.
