The parliamentary delegation gave Joe Wilson a fitting response, said today the President of Georgia.

Journalists asked Mikheil Kavelashvili a question regarding the American Congressman`s resolution. The President spoke about Wilson’s biased interests.

"Our parliamentary delegation gave [Joe Wilson] an appropriate response. On a daily basis, members of our parliament make quite correct remarks and objective assessments of his statements. For me, the actions of this one congressman, who is an interested party, are completely transparent, and what lies behind them is also easily visible to any citizen. Therefore, we should pay as little attention as possible to the assessments of such individuals", - said Mikheil Kavelashvili.

For reference, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly adopted the Hague Declaration – the Georgian delegation, in protest, did not participate in the voting.
