The Prosecutor`s Office of Georgia has charged two individuals with facilitating the illegal purchase, storage and sale of a particularly large amount of narcotics.
The investigation conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs established that the defendants illegally purchased and stored a particularly large amount - 274.276598 g. of the narcotic drug "Mephedrone", - 7.91767 g. of "Tetrahydrocannabinol" and a large amount - 0.384 g. of "Alpha-PVP". The defendants divided the narcotic drugs into 71 pieces, some of which were placed in different locations.
The detainees were charged under Article 260, Part Two, Subparagraph "b" and Part Three, Subparagraph "a" (illegal purchase and storage of narcotics by a group by prior agreement, especially in large quantities) and Article 260, Part Five, Subparagraph "a" and Part Six, Subparagraph "a" (facilitation of the illegal sale of narcotics by a group by prior agreement, especially in large quantities) of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which provides for a sentence of up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
Based on the prosecutor’s request, the defendants were sentenced to imprisonment as a preventive measure.
