Migration Department employees deported 54 foreign citizens from Georgia

As a result of the measures taken in recent days by the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in close coordination with the relevant units of the Ministry, 54 foreign citizens were deported from Georgia.

The deported persons are citizens of Turkey, Turkmenistan, Russia, India, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Pakistan, Nigeria, Egypt, Philippines and other states.

During the first 6 months of the current year, Migration Department employees deported 2,036 illegal aliens from Georgia, which significantly exceeds the total figure for the last year.

It is notable that from July 1, 2026, a number of regulations defined by legislative amendments to the Law of Georgia "On the Legal Status of Foreigners and Stateless Persons" entered into force.

The new regulations respond to modern migration challenges and aim at creating effective mechanisms for managing migration processes and strengthening the state security.
