A strategic partnership agreement was signed between Georgia and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

A joint declaration, according to which the relations between the two countries are elevated to the level of a strategic partnership, was signed by the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Following the extended-format negotiations between the members of the governments of the two countries, memorandums of cooperation were also signed between the respective agencies of Georgia and the Republic of Uzbekistan in the fields of economy, healthcare, environmental protection and agriculture, finance, customs, education, information and communication technologies, and culture.
