It is a great honor for me to join the evening celebrating the 250th anniversary of the Independence of the United States of America. On behalf of the Government of Georgia and the Georgian people, I cordially congratulate the American people on this historic milestone. The Prime Minister of Georgia said at the official reception dedicated to US Independence Day at the US Embassy.

As he noted, the Independence Day is much more than just a national holiday.

"It is a tribute to the eternal ideals of freedom, sovereignty, and self-determination. These ideals resonate precisely with Georgia`s own experience and aspirations.

America`s founding principles created far more than a constitutional system, helping to shape a society that has become a global leader in innovation, science, education, entrepreneurship, and culture. Based on the unwavering belief expressed in the Declaration of Independence that all men "are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights", the US established institutions that fostered creativity, encouraged initiative, and inspired numerous generations far beyond the country`s borders. From groundbreaking scientific discoveries and technological innovations to literature, cinematography, and art, America`s contribution has left an indelible mark on the modern world.
