The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will arrive in Georgia tomorrow, July 2, for an official state visit.
This marks the first-ever visit of a top-ranking Uzbek leader to the country.
The official welcoming ceremony for the Uzbek President will take place at the Presidential Palace at 18:00.
As part of the visit, a face-to-face meeting between Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, is scheduled to take place at the palace. The two leaders will discuss prospects for deepening bilateral cooperation as well as the wider regional agenda.
Following the high-level talks, the Uzbek President will sign the guest-of-honour book and leave a commemorative message during an official ceremony.
