Georgia’s tourism sector generated a record USD 4.7 billion in revenue in 2025. The Prime Minister said this during his annual address to the Parliament.

As he noted, Georgia hosted 7.8 million international travelers in 2025, including 5.522 million tourist visits, marking an 8.4% increase compared to the previous year.

“2025 was a record year in terms of tourism revenue. Tourism generated $4.7 billion in revenue last year. In 2025, we hosted 7.8 million international travelers, including 5.522 million tourist visits. This segment recorded 8.4% growth. Despite the conflict in the Middle East, which naturally affected tourist flows, tourism revenue still increased by 0.5% in the first quarter of 2026.

During the same period, Georgia’s airports served 4.3% more passengers year-on-year, with more than 1.6 million passengers and 7,800 flights operated.

Twenty new hotels, offering around 1,000 hotel rooms, opened during this period. As of today, Georgia has 2,691 hotels with a total of 53,000 rooms. The Ministry of Economy is carrying out very important marketing activities in our strategic markets”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
