Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze to deliver annual report to Parliament on June 26

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze will address the Parliament with his annual report on June 26. Chairman of the Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, announced this at today’s Bureau meeting.

According to the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament, the Prime Minister is obliged to present a report to the Parliament once a year, during the final month of the spring session’s plenary meetings, on the progress of the implementation of the government program.

As Shalva Papuashvili explained, the Parliament will review annual reports during the final plenary week of the spring session. On June 23, at the plenary session, the MPs will hear the Public Defender’s report; on June 24, the Prosecutor General's report; and on June 25, the General Auditor’s report.

During the current session week, members of Parliament will review draft laws and elect members of the Board of Trustees of the Public Broadcaster. At the Bureau meeting, the leading and mandatory committees for the new legislative initiatives were determined, and organizational matters were discussed.
