Relations with Central Asian countries are important and a priority for us, Georgia is an important transit country for them - Botchorishvili

The Vice Prime Minister/Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia has assessed the Prime Minister`s official visit to the Republic of Tajikistan.

"This visit [of Irakli Kobakhidze] is a significant step in the relations between our two countries. The exchange of high-level visits provides an excellent opportunity to discuss the development of relations across diverse areas.

Relations with Central Asian countries are generally important and a priority for us, given that Georgia serves as a vital transit country for them. In this context, it is essential to reinforce economic and trade relations, as well as cooperation between our nations in various fields.

Furthermore, partnership with Central Asian states within international organisations is of keen interest to us, and this visit is particularly important in that regard, as it will contribute to the development and strengthening of our relations", - said Maka Botchorishvili.
