The latest working meeting of the Justice Coordination Council [JCC] has been held at the General Prosecutor`s Office [PoG], bringing together representatives from the Prosecution Service of Georgia, the Supreme Court, and the Bar Association.
Prosecutor General Giorgi Gvarakidze thanked the prosecutors, judges, defence lawyers for the effective work of the JCC, noting that cooperation within this format is vital for strengthening the justice system.
Representatives from the PoG, the Supreme Court, and the Bar Association discussed remote court hearings and the submission of motion annexes to the court in electronic format. They reviewed the current challenges, discussed potential solutions. A discussion took place on various issues, resulting in the formulation of relevant recommendations. As noted at the meeting, digital technologies play a significant role in enhancing efficiency and accessibility of justice.
The purpose of the JCC is to support the strengthening of the legal profession, promote mutual respect between the different branches, and establish a healthy, collegiate environment and shared ethical principles.
