The Presidents of Georgia and Serbia, accompanied by their spouses, on Monday met with His Holiness and Beatitude, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Archbishop of Mtskheta-Tbilisi, Metropolitan of Bichvinta and Tskhum-Abkhazia, Shio III.

The meeting was held at the Patriarchate of Georgia as part of the official visit of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, to Georgia.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the historical, cultural, and spiritual ties between the two Orthodox Christian nations. They also emphasised the importance of further strengthening the friendly relations and cooperation between Georgia and Serbia.

The participants highlighted the long-standing bonds between the Georgian and Serbian peoples and reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral friendship and mutual understanding.
