Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti police seized large amount of drugs – 1 person detained

Officers of Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested previously convicted person on charges of illegal purchase, storage and promotion of a large amount of narcotics.

During the personal search of the accused person, law enforcement officers also seized the narcotic drug "Methadone" prepared for sale from various places as evidence.

The police also seized materials necessary for packaging the narcotic drug and the money allegedly received as a result of the sale of the drugs.

The investigation is underway under Articles 260 and 260-4 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, envisioning the imprisonment for up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
