Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Georgia, Olivier Courteaud, visited the Coast Guard Department of the Georgian Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

At the introductory meeting, Representatives of the Border Police Administration and the Coast Guard Department provided the Ambassador with information on the goals of the Border Police, the current situation on the State Border and the future plans. The issue of Black Sea Security and the role of the Coast Guard, in this context, was also emphasized during the meeting.

The French Ambassador, also, visited the Joint Maritime Operations Centre (JMOC) where he was informed about the activities of the Centre.
