Taking into account the existing political and economic relations, Georgia views Kyrgyzstan not only as an important and reliable partner, but also as a friendly state. Such a statement the Prime Minister of Georgia made at the joint briefing with the President of Kyrgyzstan.

As he noted, today’s visit to Kyrgyzstan will give a new impetus to bilateral relations between the countries.

“It is a great honor for me to be in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan today, together with the official delegation. Despite the fact that our peoples and countries are connected by close historical relations, as it was noted, this is the first highest-level visit between our countries. Therefore, it can be said that this visit is historic.

I hope and am confident that this visit will give a new impetus to Georgia-Kyrgyzstan bilateral relations. We had a very interesting, meaningful conversation regarding bilateral relations, and we also touched upon various issues on the regional and international agenda.

I want to thank our friends for their warm hospitality at the highest level. This year, Kyrgyzstan celebrates the 35th anniversary of its independence, and on the occasion of celebrating this important date, Mr. President, I would like to extend my sincere congratulations and wish you and the friendly Kyrgyz people peace and prosperity.

I also want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for the firm, unconditional, and consistent support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.Taking into account the existing political and economic relations, Georgia views Kyrgyzstan not only as an important and reliable partner, but also as a friendly state. This has a very solid foundation in the form of the historical friendship that has been established between our peoples and our countries.

Within the framework of the expanded format meeting, we discussed a wide range of Georgia-Kyrgyzstan cooperation, as well as issues of regional and global importance. When discussing the issues on the agenda of bilateral relations, we paid special attention to bilateral trade and economic cooperation and the importance of its further development. It was noted that the development of this cooperation holds very great potential”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
