Geography will not change, so far, no one has won a war against geography. Speaker of the Georgian Parliament said thos inthe interview with "Imedi LIVE".
Asked "Your opponents say that Georgia is being replaced by Armenia. Is that so?", Shalva Papuashvili replyed:
"No, Georgia is being replaced by ignorance of geography, geopolitics, history, and economics. We are dealing with such unqualified people, and we saw this directly when a journalist in the European Parliament approached one of the ministers, including one from France, showed a map, asked them to point out Iran, and they couldn’t. And these people are supposed to decide global issues today. So, geography will not change; so far, no one has won a war against geography.
We know this first and foremost - that turbulent region where we have historically been, which is still the same today, and will probably remain so. The fact that we have maintained our statehood this way for 3,000 years is an indication that we have developed an internal formula on how to navigate the storms that tend to occur in such a region. As for Europe, Europe has broken its nose many times during such turbulence - sometimes it was the initiator, sometimes the victim - but many times it failed to prevent various types of wars and disasters for its own people".
