Border Police arrested 4 people on charges of illegally crossing the border and attempting to cross it

The officers of the Operational-Investigative Department of the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have detained 4 individuals on charges of illegally crossing and attempting to cross the Georgian state border.

As a result of operational measures and investigative actions carried out by law enforcement officers, it was established that two of the accused illegally crossed the Georgian state border, bypassing the border checkpoint, and two of them were attempting to illegally cross the Georgian-Turkish state border.

The investigation is underway under Part 1 of Article 344 and Part 1 of Article 19-344 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which provides for imprisonment for a term of up to 5 years.
