Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Zurab Pataradze, Chairperson of the Supreme Council of the region, Tsotne Ananidze, Mayor of Batumi, Giorgi Tsintsadze, and other members of the regional government, extended congratulations to the Muslim community on the occasion of Kurban Bayram.
“Today, together with our Muslim brothers and sisters, we celebrate the Kurban Bayram. This sacred occasion is rooted in charity, love, and solidarity, values that have always distinguished our country and region.
The unity and mutual respect within our society are especially meaningful; this was made evident during the recent passing of the Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia, when our Muslim friends shared our grief and chose not to celebrate Ramadan Bayrami out of solidarity. Such acts reaffirm that our strength lies in standing together and respecting one another”, - said Zurab Pataradze.
The festive prayer was held at the Batumi Central Mosque.
