President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev congratulated Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Georgia`s Independence Day.

We are very pleased with the dynamic development and achievements of our friendly country and strategic partner, Georgia. Relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia are based on traditions of friendship, brotherhood, and good neighborliness that have been formed between our peoples over centuries. Today, our interstate relations and strategic partnership are characterized by high-level political dialogue, regular bilateral visits, and mutually beneficial cooperation, which continues to gain new substance.

I fondly recall the state visit to your wonderful country in April. I would like to express my confidence that the decisions made during our sincere and open dialogue on priority areas will make a significant contribution to the further strengthening of our strategic partnership and to achieving practical results. Currently, favorable conditions have been created to enrich the agenda of our bilateral relations with new content and to increase the economic potential of our region.
