Prime Minister of Georgia meets State Department officials

Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia met officials of the State Department of the United States of America [USA].

The meeting focused on the importance of resetting USA-Georgia relations and establishing a strategic partnership based on a concrete roadmap.

The Head of Government of Georgia once again reaffirmed the readiness of the Government of Georgia to renew bilateral relations from a clean slate, based on mutual respect.

It was noted that the interest of the US Department of State toward Georgia is welcome, as demonstrated by the intensity of recent contacts.

Special emphasis was placed on Georgia’s role as a trustworthy and reliable partner in the region.

The Prime Minister stated that Georgia remains ready to continue contributing to efforts aimed at ensuring long-term peace and stability in the region. The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili and Head of Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
