Eliminating poverty by 2030 entirely realistic if current economic growth trends continue - Kobakhidze

If the current trend of high economic growth and poverty reduction continues, eradicating poverty by 2030 remains quite realistic. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia.

“As you know, since 2020, the Georgian economy has grown from 50 billion to 105 billion GEL, and from 16 billion to 38 billion USD.

Our primary goal is to sustain this rapid economic growth, which directly leads to the creation of new jobs, an increase in the average salaries, and the expansion of social support for our citizens, all of which contribute to the reduction of poverty”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
